Day 2 - Visit to our Sacred Heart School in Madrid!

Today was very exciting! We visited our Sacred Heart school here in Madrid. They spoke exceptional English and were very friendly. They wanted to know if our lives were anything like the movies they've seen about Americans. They thought we looked fairly young for our ages compared to them.
We arrived at the school around 10 a.m. and we sat in on 4 of their classes. We found it strange that instead of moving from class to class, they stayed in their classroom and their teachers were the ones that moved from class to class. At the end of the day we participated in a conversational English / Spanish exercise with students.  The teachers  gave us a list of conversation topics, but soon we were discussing many issues important to teenagers in both of our countries.
After the school day ended, we went to lunch with a group of 20 students. We were very happy that they were eager to spend more time with us. We ate lunch and many of them stayed a while after just to talk with us.
By the end of the visit, many of them were very interested in the exchange program and even more were interested in visiting the USA. We had a great time hanging out with them and hope to keep in contact with them.
